SingleHop.com was the main sponsor of Tech Cocktail 3 at the Amira in the CBS building in Chicago this week and it was off the hook! Singlehop.com was the main sponsor of the event with a raffle for anyone in the raffle to receive a free month of dedicated server hosting and the winner to receive 3 free months! They had girls with shirts on with the slogan printed on the them “It takes balls to sell servers this low.” There were a few other hosting companies there.

They had green lighted ice sculptures of their iconic frog Poindexter, who was made into a martini luge. They were the strongest apple martinis I have ever had. They were poured into green illuminated martini glasses. The girls were collecting raffle tickets for the raffle and giving out green gumball’s. There was also an open bar all night thanks to Singlehop.com and midphase.com

Zak Boca president of Singlehop.com states “We’re fortunate to be in the position to where we can be involved as sponsors in the local Chicago technology events, and we’re happy to give back to the community. We’re also glad to see that our services are well received at events such as Tech Cocktail, and our goal really is simple. It’s not often…

That I go out and have a good time with my fellow geeks. Midphase.com sponsored a Free limo ride home from tech cocktail if you RSVPd. They had soo much room that people who did not register in advance were allowed to get rides home also. This is the second TechCocktail in Chicago. I missed the first one.

Techcocktail is a social networking event to share ideas and information in the IT industry. It was a very good turn out with a few companies purchasing thier share of the Open Bar tab. There was grubhub.com with thier presentation of their website for finding places to eat which we use once a week at least at work. There was feedburner.com that has a lot of resources available on thier website for blogging podcasting and providing RSS feeds, I haven’t gotten all the information on thier product yet but it was one of the kiosk that was interesting to me.

I have been adding a lot of new features to BWS to make it easier for you to find the best web hosting company possible that will fit your needs the first time. I hear everyday about people who were with one hosting company and didnt realize they couldn’t do what they needed to do to get thier site up and running.
